What’s one artist or genre that inspires your individual sound? 
As far as genres go, I would say progressive Rock, Classical music, Apala and soft rock. The artists who have really influenced me are The Fray, U2, Brymo, Coldplay, Maro music, Sia, Animals as Leaders.

Which gig has been your most unforgettable—and what made it stand out?
The Battle of the Bands, which was organised by Make Music Lagos. It was the electric combo of adrenalin and tension and effort.

What’s your pre-show ritual?
Vocal warm-ups. We also do exercises to release the butterflies. We pray too.

If you had to play a different instrument for a night, what would it be?
Definitely a Cello.

Which Nigerian city has shown you the wildest love?
Lagos

If you could collaborate with anyone—dead or alive—who would it be?
Sia.

What’s the funniest or strangest thing that’s happened to you during a live performance?
While playing the guitar on stage, I looked down and saw that my zipper was down. I had to just ignore it because I was in the middle of my guitar solo.

If your music could be the soundtrack to a movie, what genre would it be—and why?
A tear-jerker because my music invokes strong emotions.

What’s one song you wish you had written?
My love by Sia.

How do disagreements in the band usually get resolved—and who’s the peacemaker?
Someone calls for a timeout and then we revisit the issue later. We are all peacemakers.

Which band member is most likely to go viral on TikTok—and doing what?
Emmanuel doing something crazy.

What’s your favourite lyric from your own music—and what’s the story behind it?
“They were law empowered assassins, with rifles”. It’s from On My Own which was inspired by the ENDSARS protests where unarmed citizens were killed.

If you could perform on any stage or festival in the world tomorrow, where would it be?
Madison Square Garden.

Do you have a side hustle—and what is it?
I have a few. Career counseling, audio post production and massage therapy.
